Questions

Good to know.

What calls is it good for?

Calls to companies in Canada and the US that have a phone menu and a wait: a question about your bank or credit card, a refund for an online order, an insurance claim, a phone or internet bill, rebooking a cancelled flight, your taxes, or when you're not sure which option to pick. Tell your AI assistant something like “Call my bank's credit card line and ring me once a person picks up.” See use cases

Does Holdbird talk to the representative for me?

No. Once a person picks up, the call is yours. Before that, it only gives short answers to automated prompts, such as saying why you're calling or asking for a representative. More on safety & privacy

When will my phone ring?

Usually when a representative picks up. If the menu keeps repeating itself, it hands the call to you instead. It rings once, for 30 seconds. If you miss it, it isn't redialed and still counts as one of your calls; if your voicemail answers, the company reaches your voicemail.

Will it need my card number or PIN?

No. Holdbird never keys in passwords, PINs or card numbers, so leave them out of what you tell your assistant. More on safety & privacy

What do I need to use it?

An AI assistant that can add tools. Today that means Claude (the free plan works), Muse (free, US and Canada only), Grok and, for developers, Codex and Claude Code. You set it up once; your account page has the steps for each one. Holdbird only ever rings the mobile number on your account. See how to set it up

Does it cost anything?

New accounts get 3 free calls.
