Terms of use

The agreement between you and 1001533214 Ontario Inc., operating as Holdbird (“Holdbird” or “we”). By using Holdbird, you agree to these terms. Last updated November 1, 2026.

The service

Your AI assistant asks us to call a business; we get through the phone menu and wait on hold, then ring your phone when a person answers, and you take the conversation.

  • Each new account has 3 calls. A call counts only when Holdbird reaches a person and rings you, whether or not you answer, when you ask to be connected sooner, or when you cancel it 3 minutes or more after it was dialed. Existing accounts keep the number they already had.
  • Calls go only to +1 numbers in North America, such as Canada and the United States, never to emergency numbers. In an emergency, call 911 yourself.
  • We may change limits and features at any time. We'll tell account holders by email when we can.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older, and each person may have one account. Keep your password and access code private; calls placed with them count as yours. If you think someone else has your access code, create a new one on your account page, which stops the old one from working.

Use it fairly

Use Holdbird only to call businesses and organizations about your own matters, such as customer service, appointments or questions. Don't use it to:

  • make sales, marketing or advertising calls;
  • harass, threaten or mislead anyone, or call someone who asked not to be called;
  • do anything illegal, including breaking telemarketing or privacy laws.

Don't put passwords, PINs, one-time codes or full card numbers in your requests. If the business needs them, give them yourself once you're connected. We may refuse or end a call, or close an account, if we believe it breaks these terms; the email address and phone number of a closed account then can't be used for a new one.

What Holdbird can and can't promise

  • Phone menus and wait times vary and change, so we can't promise that every call gets through, how long it takes, or that a given company works with Holdbird.
  • Holdbird doesn't move you up in any queue.
  • Your call may wait in line behind other people's calls.
  • Answer when Holdbird calls you. If you don't, the call ends, isn't redialed and still counts as one of your calls; if your voicemail answers first, the business is connected to your voicemail.
  • Sometimes we ring you before a person answers, for example when the menu needs something only you can give.
  • The service may sometimes be unavailable.
  • Holdbird only handles the menu and the wait. Once you're connected, what you say and agree to with the business is up to you.

Your information

What you send stays yours. We use it only to run Holdbird, as the privacy policy describes.

Other services

Your AI app and your phone company have their own terms. Holdbird is an independent product, not affiliated with the companies that make AI apps or any business you call.

No guarantee

Holdbird is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, Holdbird isn't responsible for losses that come from using it or not being able to use it, such as a missed appointment or a fee charged by a business. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law.

Ending

You can stop using Holdbird at any time, and ask us to close your account at support@holdbird.com. We may end your access at any time, for example after misuse.

Law

These terms follow the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario, unless consumer protection law lets you bring them where you live.

Changes and contact

When these terms change, we update the date at the top and email account holders about important changes. Questions: support@holdbird.com.
